What's The Risk of Traveling After The Vaccine?

As more people become vaccinated, you might be wondering about the risks of getting sick with COVID-19. 

We asked the experts, what’s the risk of traveling, after the vaccine??

Their take: The risk of contracting COVID-19 is medium risk.

"So the risk of traveling is still going to be in the moderate, if not high-risk situations," Dr. Kelly Cawcutt, Associate Medical Director, Infection Control & Epidemiology, Nebraska Medical Center said.

"It's really where you're going and what you're doing there that puts people at risk." Dr. Irfan N. Hafiz, Infectious Disease Physician and Northwest Region Chief Medical Officer,  Northwestern Medicine said.

"If you're going into an area with high transmission rates and low compliance with masking, it would definitely make that location where you're visiting a higher level of risk. So it's very important that you evaluate where you're going, and evaluate your personal risk factors, and then continue to follow social distancing and masking guidelines when you get where you're going," Katie Cary, AVP of Infection Prevention for HCA Continental Division told Newsy.
