Katherine BiekPresident Donald Trump gave reporters a hint Tuesday about when his second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will take place. He says it'll be after the U.S. midterm elections on Nov. 6.
The initial announcement about this second meeting came after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with Kim in Pyongyang on Sunday.
The first summit between President Trump and Kim in Singapore ended with a pledge to denuclearize the Korean peninsula. But later negotiations stalled somewhat over sanctions. North Korea wants sanctions to be lifted before it completely gets rid of its nuclear arsenal.
As for where this second summit will take place — President Trump said his administration is considering "three or four" different locations. He also said he's open to hosting Kim at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, though it's unclear if that's a spot seriously being considered.
"I think eventually we're going to have lots of meetings on U.S. soil and on their soil, by the way — you know, that's a two-way street. On their soil also," President Trump told reporters.
