Officials say Singapore's airspace will be restricted during the highly anticipated summit between the U.S. and North Korea next week.

According to Reuters, aviation authorities said airspace over Singapore will be temporarily restricted June 11, 12 and 13.

U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un are set to meet at the Capella Hotel on Sentosa island June 12.

And officials are busy making preparations ahead of the big day. Police told reporters Wednesday there will be extra security at the summit's venues and the areas around them. And people, vehicles and vessels will be subject to security checks and screenings.
