North Korea and South Korea have agreed to hold military talks.

According to Reuters, the two countries confirmed the decision in a joint statement Tuesday as they engaged in high-level talks for the first time in more than two years.

But the outlet says Pyongyang "expressed negative sentiment over the mention of [denuclearization]" during the discussions.

The last time the North and the South held military talks was in 2014.
