Spring is right around the corner. And forecasters say much of the U.S. will be warmer than average.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released its three-month spring outlook on Thursday.

And experts are predicting above-average temperatures for the majority of the country, especially across the Southwest and the Gulf Coast.

But the Northern Rockies won't be so lucky — the area is expected to see lower-than-average temperatures this spring.

The warmer weather will likely be a welcome change for many in areas like the Northeast. The region was slammed with three nor'easters in March, with a fourth possible next week.
