Homeowners won't have to worry about eviction or foreclosure amid the coronavirus pandemic. President Donald Trump announced the news in a press conference Wednesday.

According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, single family homeowners with mortgages insured by the Federal Housing Administration will have this protection at least until the end of April.

HUD Secretary Ben Carson said "the health and safety of the American people is of the utmost importance" and that this measure "will provide homeowners with some peace of mind during these trying times."

Carson also said this will help calm market concerns.
