The site news24fresh.info appears to be trying to trick people into thinking this recall is new. It's not.

If you recently saw the story that retailer Target is recalling some of its Easter egg toys, that's sort of true — but it's not new information. Target recalled the products last year. The toys it recalled were sold in February and March 2017.

The site news24fresh.info posted a story last month with the headline, "ALERT: Massive Easter Egg Recall Leaves MILLIONS Of Children In Danger- THROW THEM AWAY- They WILL Kill Your Kids."

First off — what a headline. It's hard to know for sure how many kids were put at risk, but "millions" might be a stretch. Just over half a million toys were recalled. The retailer warned that if eaten, the toys could expand inside a child's body, which ultimately could be life-threatening. But the keyword there is "could."

The site correctly identifies the products that Target actually did recall: Hatch & Grow Easter Eggs, Easter Grow Toys and Hatch Your Own Dino toys, and provided specific product numbers. Recalls don't really expire, so if you have one of those products, take it back to the store for a refund.

But if you didn't buy the product at Target early last year, you're probably in the clear. The article seems to be aimed at tricking people into thinking the recall is new.
