An EgyptAir passenger flight disappeared over the Mediterranean Sea early Thursday morning, local time. 

The flight, MS804, was carrying 59 passengers and 10 crew members from Paris to Cairo. 

EgyptAir reports the plane was at 37,000 feet when it disappeared from radar shortly after entering Egyptian airspace.

The airline says it notified all authorities and launched search and rescue crews. EgyptAir will release more information as it becomes available.
