Have you ever heard of anything more quintessentially Dutch?

The Netherlands has a long history with wind energy.

Holland alone still has more than 1,000 standing windmills, some of which date back centuries.

And the Netherlands has more than 2,200 wind turbines providing clean energy.

Dutch wind now powers thousands of train trips a day — and at least one CEO's trip around a windmill.

But the Netherlands is ranked second-to-last in the EU on renewable energy goals for 2020. Maybe that'll start to change now.
