Delaware will become the first new state to offer sports betting since the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a federal sports gambling law in May.
Delaware Gov. John Carney announced the decision in a news release Thursday.
The state will launch a full-scale sports gaming operation at all three of its casinos starting Tuesday afternoon.
Bettors will be able to participate in single-game and championship wagering on professional baseball, football, hockey, basketball, soccer, golf and auto racing.
Carney said he's hopeful the new operation will "bring even more visitors into Delaware to see firsthand what our state has to offer."
As CNN points out, other states aren't too far behind with their own sports gambling operations.

Lawmakers in New Jersey are working to pass a bill by next week on how to regulate and tax sports betting.
And the Pennsylvania Gaming Board said casinos can start submitting requests to conduct sports wagering.
