Canada will now require citizens returning across land borders to present negative COVID-19 tests.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the update yesterday. Air travelers already have to show a negative coronavirus test 72 hours prior to flying into Canada.

The government is extending that requirement to land border crossings as well.

The new guidance will take effect on February 15th.
