Republican voters in Alabama have chosen former Judge Roy Moore over Sen. Luther Strange to fill the Senate seat left vacant by now-Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Strange was seen as the establishment candidate, backed by President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. Moore, known for his far right views, was supported by former Trump adviser Steve Bannon. Now, many believe Moore's win might mean bad news for the GOP establishment in the 2018 midterm elections.
