This organic-looking bike is a street-legal, 3-D printed motorcycle, and it's the first of its kind.

Airbus APWorks printed the frame with Scalmalloy, an aluminum powder. The result is aircraft-grade strength, corrosion resistance and minimal weight.

The Light Rider only weighs about 77 pounds — less than a child's dirt bike.

It's all-electric and can go from a standstill to almost 28 mph in three seconds. The Light Rider's top speed is about 50 mph.

APWorks is only going to make 50 of these bikes and will sell them for roughly $56,000 each.

So, if you're on a budget, you're probably better off looking at something more traditional — like a Harley-Davidson Street motorcycle.

One of those will put you back less than $10,000. They're a lot faster, and they don't need to be plugged in for power every 37 miles.
